Moving

Hi guys, I just wanted to get on here and post a quick update to let you all know that I am no longer going to be updating this old blogger blog. I tried using it again there for awhile but I just don't enjoy it and I feel like I would rather post my art on places like Tumblr and Instagram where there is more interaction.

Here are the ways you can keep up with me and what I am doing:

Thank you for understanding! I will leave this blog up for anyone who might still enjoy looking back at my old posts.

Thanks so much for your interest in my art, and I hope to see you around at the places listed above!

Space Cats Illustration

I had a lot of fun last Friday making this cute Space Kitties illustration and today I finished putting it up on my Society6 and Redbubble shops.

There are 7 Astro Kitties in total - each with a unique look and personality. This orange cat (below) is my favorite of the group! Which one is your favorite? (You can see them all up close here).

Gonzo the Great

I recently discovered an awesome Instagram account called @SculptMonthly. They choose a theme each month and challenge all of their followers to sculpt something new based on that theme. The #AprilSculpt challenge was Superhero Bust, and I instantly knew that I wanted to join in on the fun!

I didn't want to choose a normal hero like Iron Man, so I started brainstorming, and my first thoughts were characters like Strawhat Luffy, Goku, Super Grover, and the one I decided to go with: Gonzo the Great.

I love the muppets and even have a bit of a puppet collecting addiction, so it was a perfect fit for me to make a Gonzo sculpture. This piece is not going be be for sale (since it is fan art), and also because I want to keep him for myself :)

Pig in a Teacup

Found a fun sketch in my idea pile of a teacup pig and I just loved it so I created it digitally in photoshop.

I'm really liking the process I used on this and my recent vintage camera design. I started with a sketch, then blocked out the basic color shapes with the pen tool (using the mouse) and used my Cintiq to add in the shading and details.
